Beautifully set into the landscape, Villa Hartland build and designed by celebrated architect Yew Kuan (Como Shambhala Estate) and Maximillian Jencquel, offers 3 x one-bedroom and 1 x two-bedroom beautifully furnished air-conditioned Bungalows. Each Bungalow has it’s own private space and extensive garden surrounding it. Three Bungalows are made from reclaimed Javanese teak houses – a “Joglo”, a Java house and a “Gladak”. Each grass–roofed structure features a spacious master bedroom, luxurious bathroom and a large wooden deck with an outdoor lounging area and open spaces. The downstairs bathroom of the Joglo Suite is more than spacious and features a unique shower - which leaves one breathless with admiration - and its own wooden deck overlooking the valley.
The fourth Bungalow, "Marian’s Cottage" - is a two-bedroom cottage with a large Living and Dining Verandah. Both bedrooms have their own private garden bathroom and separate entrances.
The Estate boasts two dining areas. Nearby the Bungalows one finds a full kitchen and cosy open-air dining room. The other dining pavilion sits atop the Pool House offering spectacular views across the river to the rice fields and mountains beyond. The Pool House below includes a fabulous lounging area with a bathroom and dressing area.
A secluded spot down the hillside with serene valley and distant volcano views is perfect for reflection and meditation. It is fan-cooled with large a comfortable couch, mosquito net and built according to principles of Feng shui.
